In Touch - Sunday 19th May 2019

‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

Welcome to our Morning Service

Lewis Still is leading our time together this morning.
Richard Powell is preaching on the theme "God’s Calling" as we continue our series in Exodus and the life of Moses.
There is a meeting for the Gemmingen 2019 team after the service.
Our Deaf congregation are also staying on for lunch today. All Deaf welcome.

Dave Thomas is preaching this morning at Stanley Park Evangelical Church.
Please pray for him if you get opportunity before the end of the service.

Tonight at 6.30pm - Worship & Word

Join us again at 6.30pm, with Dave Thomas preaching from James 2, with the theme, "Show Me The Proof".

Sunday Parking

To ease the congestion in the surrounding roads, we now have access to the car park at Banstead Athletic Football Ground (including the overflow area at the back) on a Sunday morning. Please initially try and park there (unless you are elderly, disabled or have very young children and walking down the road would be difficult) - leaving our own car park for visitors.
Please avoid parking in Merland Green, Merland Close and Merland Rise as we have had complaints in recent weeks. If you have parked in any of these roads this morning, please move your vehicle to one of the available car parks. Thank you.

Merland Rise Café
Come along and join us for a tasting session on Sunday 28th July, 3pm - 6pm, here in the café.
This is a great opportunity for everyone to sample the cakes, pastries, teas and coffees, we plan to sell in the café and to give us a little feedback. We really value your opinion.
It will also be an opportunity for volunteers to perfect their skills ready for the Grand Opening in September.

Accommodation Needed
We have been contacted, by a church in Southampton, to see whether we could help find lodgings (with a Christian family) for a single man who is starting an apprenticeship with Atkins from September. (Accommodation needed from sometime in August onwards). If you can help, please contact Richard Powell for further details.

Getting the best from Windows 10
Many of you will have either upgraded to Windows 10 from a previous system under the free scheme or you may have bought a new pc and that came with Windows 10 installed. It looks different.
If you are struggling to make sense of it, simply because it is unfamiliar then this presentation will hopefully de-mystify Windows 10 for you. Also, people don’t like change. If you find it a bit daunting you will not want to use it and you will even become resentful of the changes that have been forced upon you.
So... we have a training session planned on 13th June, 10.30am-12pm (with a coffee break), here at Merland Rise Church. It is not going to be an in-depth technical discussion, it’s just going to be a simple walk-through of the various bits & bobs, to show you what they do, how you can tweak things to suit what you want to do with it and how you can customize it so there is more of what you do need to use and less of what you don’t need.
