Welcome to our Morning Service
Vicky Dowey is leading our time together this morning. After a short time of worship, the children will be going out for activities more suited to their age groups. We will also share Communion together during the service.
We have Stuart Windsor visiting us this morning from Christian Solidarity Worldwide. CSW campaigns worldwide for religious freedom through advocacy and human rights, in pursuit of justice.
6pm - AWOL (A Way Of Life)
A group for teenagers - Yr 7 and upwards - so, if you are in that age group, come along and join us this evening. Please see Andrew or Petra for more information.
6.30pm - Worship & Word
We have a more informal service at 6.30pm, with Kris Lane preaching.
Weekly Home Groups
We meet as church during the week in home groups. These are normally on either a Tuesday or Wednesday evening and meet in homes in the local area. There are also a couple of women only groups. These meet either on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning, or on a Wednesday evening. The young Mums meet on Monday morning here in the building. If you would like to join a home group or would like to know more, please have a word with Jim Davis.

- The Brown family as they mourn the death of Heather and make arrangements for the funeral. Pray for Godfrey as he has the main responsibility. Heather’s funeral will take place on 20th July at 11.45am at Randalls Park, with a Thanksgiving Service here afterwards. More details to follow.
- Those facing hardship and starting the long recovery process due to recent tragic events in Manchester and several areas in London.

Wednesday - 9.15am - Prayer Meeting. Join us for 30 minutes of prayer here in the church building.
Wednesday - 10.15am-12.30pm - Table Tennis Exercise and friendship
Wednesday - 1 - 3pm - Art Club. All Welcome. (note the new time)
Thursday - 10am-12pm - Online4All - Gain knowledge and confidence in using a computer. Help with CV writing and job applications. Work towards a Level 3 qualification.
Friday - 10 - 12am - Chatterbox, a toddler group for parents, carers and their children. All Welcome.
Saturday - 6am - Early morning prayer meeting.
Saturday - 10.30am - Merland Rise Football Academy for Years 1-7 at Headley Playing Field. Girls and Boys welcome. Subs £1 per week. Contact Andrew Dowey to find out more
Ruth is away this week but preparing In Touch on Saturday ready for Sunday morning. Please send any items through as normal and she will collect them at the end of the week.
If you want to be involved in delivering welcome packs to the new houses on the estate, there are 4 main opportunities. You could bake cookies occasionally when needed (recipe provided), work in a small team to assemble the packs, come out delivering with us or pray!
We start delivering on Tuesday July 4th and will go out different days and different times through the summer by arrangement. For any more info, or to offer to help please speak to one of us. Thank you. Carol Ward, Catherine, Fay, Margaret, Peju or Rosie.
Community Development Worker
If you have been in the building during the week, you may have seen a stranger working here. Maria Hewson, is the Community Development Worker for Preston. This is a new post funded by Reigate and Banstead Borough Council. Maria is using several buildings in the community as a base (including ours) several times a week. She wants to meet as many of the locals as she can to find what it is like living in the Preston Ward. Maria can be contacted on 07854 171376.
The Summer edition of Preston Pride is ready to be distributed to roads in the local area. We are advertising events on 1st July so these need to be circulated by SATURDAY. Please help by picking up a bundle TODAY.
Foodbank urgently need these items: Washing powder/capsules, instant coffee, tinned rice pudding, Tomato ketchup, Ladies deodorant, tinned spaghetti, instant mashed potato, powdered milk, salt and pepper, shaving foam, tinned sponge puddings, instant noodles/ egg noodles (made with hot water), Hair conditioner, Marmalade, Brown sauce and long-life custard.
We do not need: Baked beans, dried pasta, soup, fish, dried rice, pulses, baby wipes, chocolate spread, nappies, meat pies or tinned fruit.
Church Car Park
There is still work to be done clearing weeds from the surrounds of the church car park. Anyone willing to help with this please meet at 10am for a couple of hours on Saturday 1st July. More details from Edith. Thanks.

Coming Soon ……
On Friday 4th August, between 2pm - 5pm, we are having a tea party here for the community. This is a joint venture with Raven Housing Trust and many of their employees will be volunteering on the day. It will be an afternoon with stalls, activities for all ages and refreshments etc. We (as Church) have been asked whether we could provide the refreshments. If you are around and able to help to serve, clear away or wash-up on the day or bake cakes and scones, we would love to hear from you. Please contact Ruth W. or Gary.
