‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

This Morning

Vicky Dowey is leading our time together. Richard Powell is preaching on the theme of "Communion", from 1 Corinthians 11: 2-16.
We will also share communion during the service and will be formally welcoming Truter and Igma Bothma into church membership.

This Evening at 6.30pm

We meet again this evening for a time of Worship & Word. Tony Holton is preaching at this service from Ecclesiastes 10:1-20.

News

Cafe volunteers
After Tuesday's vote at the members meeting to go ahead with the cafe trial opening for the next six months, we need to ensure we have enough volunteers to make it happen. Our plan is to open Monday to Thursday from 09:00 to 14:00 each day. We are looking for the following Front of House staff to serve food and drinks. Back of House washing dishes, cleaning etc. If you would like to be involved but can’t do a whole shift, don’t worry. It is possible to split the shifts for example 8:30am to 11:30am and 11:30am to 14:30pm to help ease the load. We believe this is a great opportunity to serve our community by providing them with a safe and welcoming place to meet and socialise with a wonderful chance for us to share the Gospel. Please consider prayerfully if you should be involved and if you would like to know any more just ask Petra or Gary.

We are looking for a part-time caretaker - to start as soon as possible - for about 5 hours each week. Duties include hosting our external bookings during their time here in the building, making refreshments, setting up/clearing away furniture, sole responsibility for keeping the outdoor space neat and tidy (including cutting the grass and gardening), putting out the rubbish and generally ensuring the building is secure, as well as, opening and locking up when necessary etc. It is important that this person is a customer focussed, team player (able to use their own initiative) with a flexible ‘can do’ attitude, takes pride in their work, enjoys gardening and is able to lift and move furniture. If you are interested in finding out more, please have a word with either Mark Childs or Ruth Warren.

We are hosting a Freedom In Christ event on 15th June, 9.30am - 4.30pm. This is a brand new interactive work- shop for those wanting to transform the challenges of discipleship with 18-30s into opportunities for fruitful, authentic discipleship. Tickets are £15 for those attending from MRC and £30 from visiting churches. However, there are a few free tickets available for anyone from MRC who is interested or currently involved in this age-group, what- ever your own age. Please see Ruth W. for more info.

Want to learn to sign a song in BSL?
We plan to hold a workshop on Saturday afternoon March 30th from 3pm to 4.30pm at church, and teach hearing people how to sign a song. No previous experience is necessary, just come along willing to learn. We don’t know as yet which song and we are not sure where (if anywhere) this will go, but we are running this session, seeing what happens, where God leads us and if anyone is interested etc. We don’t think we are starting a signing choir but the format will be like a hearing choir to give you a clue. It will be quite a structured session, so come keen to learn and ready to participate. If you plan on coming, please tell Rosie so we can gauge numbers. Thank you. The BSL signing team.
