Many thanks for your generosity last weekend with the donations to Homestart and Streetlight UK.
Both charities have been overwhelmed by our support and are very grateful for the gifts for the women and families they are in contact with.

We are looking to increase the number of people trained to operate the laptop, especially for our morning services. This would involve being at church for 9am on the rostered Sunday for the band rehearsal and then the service. The songs are pre-loaded onto the laptop, full training will be given and it is not difficult. If you can use a computer or smartphone you can drive the laptop. This includes first Sundays so could suit young people who normally go out to G-unit. For more information without making any kind of commitment, please speak to Kerry or Liz.

We are looking for a white metal double bed frame (in good condition) for a local young family. If you are aware of someone thinking of selling or giving one away, can you please contact Ruth on the office number asap. Many thanks.

Nominations for the New Leadership Team
We are planning to appoint our new leadership team at the OCMM on Sunday 17th November at 6pm. The Elders are asking for names of potential candidates so they can give prayerful consideration to the proposed nominations. Nominations should fulfil the following criteria of being actively involved in church life, a church member and meet the criteria of the role of a deacon as stated in 1 Timothy 3.

Prisons Week - 13th - 19th October

We have a few leaflets in the café if you would like to pray this week for those involved. Alternatively, go onto their website and download a copy

On the 9th November I will be having my head shaved. Over the last 10 years I have lost my beautiful mum, amazing dad, fantastic nan, loved aunties and inspirational friend to various cancers. In addition I know many who have fought or continue to fight this indiscriminate disease. Many people including my mum lose their hair due to the treatments they endure trying to beat this disease. That is why I have chosen this way to raise funds. Please donate to help beat all cancers and support those who care for those that are suffering. I have decided to support Cancer Research and Marie Curie (as these wonderful nurses supported mum and dad near the end).
You can choose to support both or either. All funds raised will be passed to the charities whether the target is reached, not reached or exceeded. Thank you.
