We have several newsletters on the table in the Concourse; an update from Audrey Taylor working for Wycliffe Bible Translators, as well as, the latest BREAD newsletter. Please take a copy with you. The OCMM minutes are also ready to collect.

Food Hygiene Course
Many of us did this course about 18 months ago, but now we are established in the new building it may be that you would like to get involved in cooking occasionally when required. It is not essential but very helpful for "cooks" to have this qualification. The cost is £20 for an online course you can do at home in your own time. The course is well designed. If you are interested please see Rosie.

Welcome Packs for New Houses
We think we have caught up by delivering to almost all of the new houses that are occupied, about 100 in total. Please pray that these seeds will grow and we are thankful that God has given us a few real encouragements in this his work. We plan to deliver details of our children’s groups to these houses at the end of August, telling them start dates and costs etc. Please pray that our children’s groups will have new members in the autumn from these new houses.

Berega Fundraising BBQ
On Sunday 10th September, we shall be hearing again about our partnership with Berega, and there will be an opportunity to give money to BREAD. There will be a BBQ after church with Berega themed games and an African Dance Workshop! And if you can't wait.... there are copies of the latest BREAD newsletter available today! Please see Mike Mytton if you would like to know more.

Induction Lunch on 17th September
We are planning a buffet lunch after Richard’s induction for church family and visitors. Temi has kindly offered to co-ordinate this b u t we need lots and lots of you to help either on the day or with preparations beforehand. There is a job for anyone who would like to help. If you would like to be part of this day in any way, please see Temi.

Safeguarding training
If you did this training last year please relax, this notice is not for you! If however you have started being involved in working with children or vulnerable adults in the last year, there will be a training session soon f o r y o u t o a ttend. It will probably be in September, it will then be repeated in October, dates are not confirmed as yet but you need come only once. It will be I nteractive, led by Hilary and Vicki G, last a couple of hours and last year many people found it valuable. Sorry, even if you have done this type of training elsewhere, we need you to come to this session. More details from Rosie, Hilary or Vicki G. Thank you.

Learn BSL here at Church
As you probably know there will be a BSL level 1 course taught here, at church, by a professional teacher, Rebecca Britton starting in November on Thursday evenings. The course will last a year, following school terms with approximately 30 sessions in all. If you are interested please speak to Rosie at some point in August. There is a cost to this course, lower than elsewhere as the premises are free, but still a reasonable cost. There may be some help towards these fees and if you wish to start saving for the course, we can help organise that. Any questions please see Rosie. Thank you.

Journeys
A five week DVD voyage of discovery starting on 1st November. This course is designed for anyone exploring spirituality and examines faith through real people, amazing stories and changed lives. Start praying about who you could invite along. Each evening starts with food followed by a DVD and discussion. All Welcome.
There will be an introduction video about this in the notices Next Sunday 27th August.
