Be content . It’s not the same as being happy! It’s a state of being that seems pretty hard for many to achieve. Paul claimed to be content. We finish our look at this small Bible book by thinking about this ‘rare jewel’.
- Why was Paul content? Are you content? What prevents us being content? What is the place of ambition in the spiritual life?
- Look at v13. It is much quoted. In its context, what is Paul saying? What is he claiming he can do?
- From all that Paul says to the Philippians, what difference does mutual support make among Christians? Can you back this up from other places in the Bible?
- How can we make space to be more supportive of each other?
