One or the other? Questions
Questions for Home Groups or Private Reflection
First take some time in the quietness to consider the gift of grace that you have received from God. Then share your thoughts on the benefits you enjoy.
How would those closest to you describe your Christianity? Do they think:
- You live so that God will accept you or
- You live because God has accepted you.
It’s our natural inclination to feel uncomfortable around people who are different from us and to gravitate towards those who are similar to us. How do we ensure that this doesn’t stop us from reaching out in our community and what should we be doing?
If you have any time left then consider this last question:
Do we still have to obey the Old Testament Laws? There are three main categories:
Ceremonial Law – Relates specifically to Israel’s worship
Civil Law – The laws of daily living
Moral Law – Direct commands from God e.g. The Ten Commandments.
