Doing Good?
Questions for Home Groups or Private Reflection
The passages to consider are on the slides – though as a group you might want to read all through Titus 3 to get a good ‘setting’ for the key verse. “All who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good.” Tirtus 3:8 (NLT)
- Look at the verse card and share the thoughts you have about it – what does it say to you?
- If we ‘do’ this verse, what image might you expect on next year’s card?
- In the Autumn a clear message came through our church prayer times – that we should continue to do what we do, what we are ‘good at’, but ‘better’, and with greater passion.
- Isa 43:19 appears late in the message? How does the sentence above fit with the thought of God doing something ‘new’ – what ‘new’ doing attitude or passion would you like to see in your life this year?
- When you think of ‘doing good’, what comes to your mind?
- Are there ways we can get our hands dirty as a group this year?
- How would you like the group to pray for you in ‘doing good’ this year?
- Pray together about what it means to be a ‘river of living water’, a ‘stream in the desert’ to those who could join us on God’s highway.
